This Privacy Policy explains how Point of View Consulting Inc., trading as The Naija Concierge (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use our website, mobile applications and concierge services (together, the “Services”). We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and, where applicable, the UK/EU GDPR for members of the diaspora.
1. Who we are
The Naija Concierge is a premium concierge and lifestyle service for Nigerians in the diaspora and visitors to Nigeria, operated by Point of View Consulting Inc. 2. Information we collect

3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and verify eligibility.
- To take, price, schedule, dispatch and fulfil your service requests.
- To process payments and subscriptions through Paystack.
- To communicate with you — order updates, quotes, receipts, and support — by in-app message, email, SMS, WhatsApp and push notification, according to your preferences.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Services you request); your consent (e.g. optional marketing and certain notifications, which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Services and prevent fraud); and compliance with legal obligations. Under the NDPA we process your data on equivalent lawful bases.
5. How we share your information
We share personal data only as needed to run the Services:
- Service providers (“Gigsters”) assigned to your request — the details necessary to complete it (e.g. location, timing, relevant instructions).
- Paystack — to process payments (subject to Paystack’s own privacy policy).
- Infrastructure and communication providers we use to run the app: Supabase (secure database and authentication hosting), Netlify (website hosting), Brevo (transactional email), and Expo (push notification delivery).
- Authorities or advisors where required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. International transfers
Because we serve the diaspora, your data may be processed in Nigeria, the United Kingdom/EU (our database is hosted in the EU, London region) and other countries where our providers operate. Where data leaves your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for any period required to meet legal, accounting, tax or dispute-resolution obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, update, restrict, or delete your personal data, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. You can edit much of your profile and notification preferences directly in the app.
Account & data deletion
To delete your account and associated personal data, email [email protected] from your registered email address, or use the in-app request. We will action verified requests within 30 days, subject to data we must retain by law.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database, and secure, tokenised payment handling via Paystack. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the relevant authority of any breach as required by law.
10. Children
The Services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Notifications & marketing
You control how we contact you (email, SMS, WhatsApp, push) in your app settings and can opt out of non-essential messages at any time. We may still send essential service messages (e.g. order and payment updates) while you have an active request.
12. Cookies (website)
Our website uses only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new “Last updated” date and, where changes are significant, notify you in the app or by email.
